Vegfar is made by one person. There is no ticket system and no support queue — there is an address, and it is read.

[email protected]. Say which iPhone you have and what iOS it runs, and if something went wrong on a ride, roughly when it happened. That is usually enough to find it.

Before you write

• The map is empty, or the percentage will not move. Vegfar currently covers Trøndelag only. Outside the county there are no roads in the map to ride, and the percentage stays at zero. This is a limit of where the road network has been built, not a fault.
• A ride was not recorded. Vegfar needs location access set to Always to record with the phone in your pocket and the screen off. Check iOS Settings › Vegfar › Location.
• A road you rode is not filled in. Matching a trace to a road is not perfect, and in a tunnel or a deep valley the phone's position can be some way from the road you were actually on. Tell us which road and roughly when, and it can be looked at.
• A road is on the map that should not be, or is missing. The road network comes from OpenStreetMap. That is a public map anyone can correct, and a correction there reaches every rider rather than just you.
• No route came back. Route generation needs unridden road within reach of where you are, inside Trøndelag. Close to the county edge, or with very little time asked for, there may be nothing to return.

Your data

What is held, for how long, and how to see, export or delete it is on the privacy page. You can delete your account and every ride with it from inside the app, under Innstillinger › Konto › Slett konto.

What Vegfar does not do

It does not measure speed, pace or how long a road took, and it never will. Coverage is the only thing it counts. If you are looking for the ride you took ranked against anybody else's, this is the wrong app, and that is deliberate.
